Can’t wait for Kenny Chesney’s Brothers of the Sun Tour to arrive at MetLife Stadium?
The country star is on the road with Tim McGraw all summer, but he’ll be making an early stop in the Garden State at 8:30 on June 20. He’s bringing his songs of seaside abandon to a suitable setting for them: the beach at Wildwood.
The 75-minute concert will take place on an outdoor stage just south of Morey’s Pier. It’s a free show, but tickets are still required.
Wondering what a country boy from Tennessee is doing in the Garden State? Like Jimmy Buffet, Chesney’s relaxed music is made shore ready and appropriate. Songs about escapes to Mexico, the flow of the sea, and the lure of sun and blue ocean make him all natural. Chesney’s songs about hard workd and a life well lived deserve a day at the beach – Wildwood’s beach certainly fits the bill.
“Welcome to the Fishbowl,” Chesney’s fifteenth album, is scheduled for a June 19 release.
According to a press release, Chesney considered Seaside Heights as a location for this concert, but chose Wildwood after seeing its wide and beautiful beach.
Wildwood welcomes Chesney, we can’t wait!
