WILDWOOD, NJ – Every family vacation starts with a packing checklist – what to bring and what not to bring for your well deserved vacation. Once at the beach a new checklist hits the counter top with every item necessary to make your day at the beach, well just that; the perfect day at the beach.
For families of any size it seems the list gets longer every year –chairs, towels, buckets, shovels, rafts, boogie boards and more. Just about everyone in the family is required to carry an item – and sometimes, there still aren’t enough hands.
Take a deep breath of fresh salt air and say goodbye to lugging all of that stuff to and from, because the City of Wildwood has come up with a great storage solution – Beach Boxes!
The city plans to launch 150 beach box rentals which can be placed at the street location of your choice just in time for the summer season of 2012.
Commissioner Pete Byron, who is spearheading this project said; “I have a family and packing all of the items we need to go to the beach is a gruesome experience, there’s just too much stuff. This is where we came up with the idea; to create beach boxes for rent. One place to store all of the necessities and not have to cart it back and forth will make life a little easier for so many vacationers.”
“It’s just one of the many new beach enhancements that the City of Wildwood is implementing to create a true family vacation experience,” said Byron. Beach boxes will be available for rent on a first come, first serve basis to anyone for the week or season. Byron also suggest; “due to the high demand and the summer season quickly approaching it is best to reserve your beach box soon. Leave the sand at the beach!
