Robert Strauss to Be Keynote at NWBWC
NORTH WILDWOOD–Robert Strauss has written for Sports Illustrated, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The LA Times. He’s been a news and sports producer for KYW-TV in Philadelphia and a TV critic for the Philadelphia Inquirer and Asbury Park Press. Last year he published “Daddy’s Little Goalie,” a poignant and entertaining memoir about being the dad of girl athletes. And now, he’ll be keynote speaker at the 10th anniversary of the North Wildwood Beach Writers’ Conference, June 5 & 6 at the Wildwoods Convention Center, Wildwood, NJ.
The spectacular line-up of speakers also includes J.T. Barbarese, PhD, award-winning poet, professor, and editor of Story Quarterly, who will demonstrate what editors look for in submissions. He’ll also do “first-page critiques” of attendees’ manuscripts (the first 10 to register for this wonderful learning experience).
And there’s even more! Featured speakers include Thomas Monteleone (Blood of the Lamb), Artistic Director of East Lynne Theater Gayle Stahluth, and Cordelia France Biddle, (Martha Beale mysteries), in addition to children’s book writers, poets, an illustrator, and a physical therapist (how intriguing!).
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from masters on topics like creating villains in fiction, social networking to promote your work, the challenges of writing as a team, and learning to succeed as a free-lance writer.
And be sure to enter the writing contest where you may win the Grand Prize publishing package from Vantage Press Valued at $5000!
Have your manuscript evaluated. Visit the Book Bazaar where you can purchase speakers’ books and have them signed by the author.
