Leslie, all I am stating is what the facts are and while I understand the pros and cons that you mention, I guess at this point it’s mute since it never happened. The city is trying to find alternatives for lowering taxes, it just seems that people aren’t open to any suggestions and have a better time complaining about the what if’s instead of thinking – why not.

Caroline, I agree that a break in property taxes would be welcomed by all but I am sure that there are other means to create revenue which would be more enviormentally and resident friendly. Many cities are cutting wasteful spending to help control taxes.. The area of the beach that they want to use for RV parking is space that could be utilized for some type of family venue that would be less objectionable then a parking lot. I am sure if your home was in this area that would overlook the sea of RV’s you would have a different perspective.

Bob – You should do a little more research, I live in Wildwood – I own a business in Cape May and Avalon and frankly if I get paid or not to write an article well, I guess that’s my business, for the record, I just report what is going on in Cape May County and I try to have a little fun with my blog – no payment for articles written. From my home I hear the sounds of people on the boardwalk every day and night, there are times that I believe the boardwalk looks like a hot mess. Is there a difference? Why isn’t there a group of people angry about that? And what revenue does the boardwalk bring in for property owners. Nothing in my savings account. This is where energy should be spent, cleaning up the boardwalk and making it a world class attraction. The RV park was temporary.

I am just stating the information as it came to me. I too live in Wildwood and from my point of view, the area which was designated for the RVs is dead space. Isn’t the boardwalk as noisy and even unsightly at times? Personally I don’t see it as a problem, but as a revenue maker and wouldn’t it be nice to have a break in property taxes? Just sayin.

You article states the City of Wildwood is pleased that RV’s are coming to Wildwood Beaches, From what I am hearing its a selected group of city officals that are happy, so they can raise some revenue… A very large number of the residents and property owners are strongly against this proposal for various reasons including safety, enviormental, visually unappealing( blocking view of ocean), noise created by generators, traffic conjestion & property values are among the concerns. This is nothing against RV owners, its just not the right place to establish a campground. Would a true BEACH GIRL want RV’s parked in front of her property or business in Cape May?

Carolina….Read your article on the RV’s coming to Wildwood NJ. I would like to add some comments. Many of the property owners are opposed to having RV parked on the beach. There are many concerns that outweigh the supposed revenue generated by this idea ie, enviormental issue, safety, noise and visually who wants to look out at a sea of RV instead of waves. I see that you live and have property in Cape May, what a wonderful town. How would you feel if you looked out your window every day and saw RV’s line up. Every night instead of hearing the ocean waves you heard the sound of RV generators and smelled the fumes. I am sure that you were hired to write this article, but do you really believe that there is not a better place to camp RV’s then on the beach in front of residents homes? If you are truly a “Beach Girl” then you would see the concerns of many of us have. Regards Bob

Robin! Fellow Blogger from Los Angeles! Thank you so much for your comments, after I wrote it I started to think of even more songs that are great – and sadly a few are from the late and great (let us pause for a moment of sad silence) Whitney Houston and Teddy Pendergrass; “Hold me,” a beautiful ballad sung with feeling and emotion.
And of course I had to have the king on the list, Elvis was great.
I am sure there are so many more, maybe we can create even a larger list for your brides and grooms to be.

I created a Post for my Bridal Clients with various lists and love song ideas for their weddings.
I found your Post and attached it to the bottom of my article. It amazes me that Elvis’s ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ still tops many lists and is generally always included! And thanks for including ‘Someone to Watch Over Me’ – one of my all time favorites and one I sing/perform every chance I get!
By the way, I don’t think these are corny or cheesy!
